Ed
Woody
(Rick
McCallum, Co-Director, Co-Producer, Co-Writer)
Ed
Woody is the technical thinker powerhouse of the
outfit. When a system was called for that would
give us a portable blue/greenscreen for compositing,
Ed didn't even ask questions: he just whipped
it up out of a few supplies from Wal-Mart and
Home Depot! The "W" in the name "KWerky",
Ed was the first one that Chris approached to
help him make Forcery: since from the
days they were students and roommates at Elon
College (now Elon
University) they had long talked about some
kind of collaboration. Originally hailing from
the mountains of western North Carolina, Ed received
a degree in Communications from Elon and presently
is the webmaster for several high-profile clients
of a prestigious marketing firm. Previously Ed
has been a volunteer firefighter: something that
came in VERY handy during Forcery's filming
because of all the fires that were called for.
Ed is also one of the world's foremost experts
in all things regarding "Weird Al" Yankovic
(How big a fan is he of Al? He's got a pristine
copy of The Authorized Al and if you
know how hard that is to find THAT'll tell ya
something). A talented actor, Ed had done community
theatre for several years in his hometown including
productions of The Lion, the Witch, and the
Wardrobe and Alice in Wonderland.
In addition to co-directing, co-writing and co-producing
Forcery, Ed also has the role of Star
Wars producer Rick McCallum. And as of April 2005
we are delighted to report that Ed is an engaged
man who will shortly be taking on a "spousal
overunit" of his very own!
